报告摘要:

  While ultraviolet (UV) photodissociation provides informative fragmentation patterns and insights into photochemical reactions and action spectroscopy, the limited overlap between vibrational bound states and continuum states hinders the efficient quantum excitation typically achieved in photoexcitation between bound states.

  We address this challenge by embedding the ground bound potential into the dissociative continuum using a frequency-selected UV pulse. Notably, this UV pulse does not initiate photoexcitation itself, but rather effectively couples the dissociative continuum with the unpopulated vibrationally excited levels of the ground state, creating vibrational resonances. It shows that the photodissociation spectra can be significantly controlled by modulating the embedding pulse frequency via tailoring the asymmetric profiles of the vibrational resonances. This is demonstrated in our simulations of kinetic energy release spectra for diatomic and polyatomic molecules.

  These proof-of-principle examples offer new opportunities for controlling the yield of photofragmentation and the pathways of photochemical reactions in various molecular systems.

  张松斌,陕西师范大学教授、博导,2016年入选国家创新人才青年项目,中国核学会计算物理分会第九届理事会理事、常务理事,陕西省物理学会第十二届理事会理事、常务理事、副理事长,第四届计算原子与分子物理专业委员会委员,中国物理快报/中国物理B/物理/物理学报四刊联合青年编委。2007年和2011年分别于四川大学和中国科学技术大学获物理学学士和理学博士学位,2011-2015年先后在美国德州农工大学、德国马普所及自由电子激光科学中心等机构从事博士后研究,2015年底加入陕西师范大学物理学院。主要开展原子分子和超快光物理理论研究,聚焦自由电子激光等极端脉冲与原子分子相互作用中的超快和非线性理论物理问题。
