报告摘要:
  Synthetic polymers with pendent sugar moieties, normally termed ‘glycopolymers’, are able to interact with lectins as multivalent ligands in a similar manner to natural glycoproteins. Glycopolymers have been synthesized for investigating their interaction with bio-molecules and application in disease treatments, including influenza and some cancers. In addition, cells have been found to behavior differently to nanoparticles with different chemical composition, size and shape, and they respond to extracellular environment changes at the nanoscale level. The design and synthesis of glycopolymer-based nanomaterials will be important for investigating the specific interactions between carbohydrates and protein/cells, and will also benefit cancer detection, treatment and related medical materials. Herein, a variety of glycopolymers with specific sequence or functionality have been synthesized via a combination of controlled radical polymerization (CRP) and efficient coupling techniques such as click chemistry, enzymatic monomer transformation and host-guest interactions. The interaction of these materials with protein and cells has been investigated.
