| 报告介绍 | Biosketch:
Professor Fuchun Zhang obtained a B.S. from Fudan University in 1968. He went to Virginia Polytechnique Institute and State University and received his Ph.D. in physics in 1983. From 1986 to 1988, he worked in ETH Zuerich, Switzerland as a Research Associate. He joined University of Cincinnati, USA as a faculty member in 1988. From 2003 to 2012, he served as a Chair Professor in the University of Hong Kong. Since 2012, he has been a Qianren professor at the Zhejiang University. Prof. Zhang’s research is in theoretical condensed matter physics, in particular in the field of correlated electron systems such as high transition temperature superconducting copper oxides, quantum spin systems, and fractional quantum Hall effect. In recent years, his research has also expanded into the field of spin electronics in semiconductors with spin orbit couplings. |
