Biosketch:
Dr Ganguli is the founding Director of Institute of Nano Science and Technology in Mohali (India) where he is building strong research teams on cancer therapeutics, solutions for clean energy using nanotechnology, online diagnostics and nanotoxicology. He obtained M.Sc (chemistry) degree from University of Delhi , PhD from Indian Institute of Science , Bangalore and did post doctoral work at Dupont Company,USA and Ames Laboratory(Iowa), USA. He joined Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Delhi in 1995 where he continues to be a Professor of Chemistry.
His areas of interest are in the design of nanostructured materials (using microemulsions) towards water purification, oxygen and hydrogen evolution and nanostructured metal borides as electron emitters. He is also a very keen speaker for science education in schools and colleges.
Dr Ganguli has published around 210 papers in refereed international journals , 18 in conference proceedings and 6 chapters in books and has one patent. He is a recipient of the Materials Research Society of India Medal and the Chemical Research Society of India Medal. He is a fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences, India.
