Biosketch:
  Prof. Miron Ya Amusia is a famous atomic physicist. He is Fellow of American Physical Society since 1995 and an Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences since 2002. His research field covers theory of the many-body systems, interaction of radiation and electron with atoms, molecules, clusters,fullerenes and endohedrals, as well as theory of electron gas. In this talk, he will introduce his recent investigations about photoionization and fast electron scattering of atoms caged inside fullerenes shells that are called endohedrals. These objects are of interest since demonstrates their action both as a static potential field and as a powerful polarizable resonator that can enhance or suppress the incoming radiation that reaches the caged atom.
