报告介绍 | In my talk I will present a general overview of the business of Nature Publishing Group, which includes the Nature journals, but also a number of other ventures. I will then describe the editorial policies of Nature Materials, which are shared by all journals from the Nature family. Based on these, strategies are presented on how to interact with our editorial office, and I will also provide brief tips on how to improve the writing of scientific papers.
Biography: Joerg Heber has studied physics at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and holds a PhD in semiconductor physics from Imperial College London. Following his graduation he became a postdoctoral researcher at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, in New Jersey, where he worked on ultrafast intersubband transitions in semiconductor structures. In 2002 he took up a lectureship in physics at the University of Marburg, Germany before joining Nature Materials in 2005. His areas of responsibility include condensed matter physics, photonics, electronic devices and classical materials science. From April to June 2010 Joerg was invited to The University of Tokyo as a visiting professor teaching science communication. |
