报告人简介： Prof. Robert Joynt has been professor of physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1992.He obtained his PhD degree in physics from University of Maryland at College Park in 1982 and worked as a postdoctoral research associate in Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge University from 1982 to 1984, and at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of ETH-Zürich from 1984 to 1986. He has undertaken research in a wide range of areas including pseudo-digital qubits, neutron stars, optical orientation of spins in semiconductors, etc.
