报告人简介：
Dr. Xianhai Huang received his bachelor's degree from East China Normal University and a master degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science before he moved to the United States. After obtaining a Ph.D. degree in 2000 at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Professor David Crich's group, he carried out his post-doctoral research in Professor K.C. Nicolaou's group at the Scripps Research Institute. He joined Schering-Plough Research Institute in early 2003 and is currently a principle scientist at Merck Research Institute. He has been working on several projects including CNS and cardiovascular diseases. Drug discovery, total synthesis and methodology development are his interests. He has mentored Schering-Plough chemistry postdoctoral program from 2005 to 2007. He was awarded SPRI President's Award in 2006 and American Chemical Society Young Industrial Investigator Award in 2009.
