报告介绍
报告摘要 Positron Emission Tomography (PET) has become a popular imaging technique which provides in vivo information on the distribution of radiolabeled biomolecules. Due to the short halflife of PET isotopes, the discovery of general and reliable routes for the rapid incorporation of these radioactive atoms into biomolecules would be highly beneficial. In this presentation we will report our recent research progress on developing novel method for Cu-64 and F-18 labeling. Moreover, we will further discuss the development of targeted radiopharmaceuticals for cancer imaging.

Prof. Zibo Li got his BS from University of Science and Technology of China with polymer chemistry major in 2001. He received his PhD from University of Virginia in 2006, followed by a postdoctoral research in Stanford University from 2006-2008. In 2008, he joined the Molecular Imaging and Biomarker Research division, Siemens Inc as a senior scientist. In Nov 2008, he was recruited as an Assistant Professor at the USC Radiology Department. Currently he is also serving as the radiochemistry chief of USC molecular imaging center. Dr. Li received numerous prestigious awards such as Margaret E. Early Medical Research Trust, Zumberge Fund Individual Grant, and Institutional Research Grant from American Cancer Society. Now he is serving in the editorial board for 3 journals. His research areas include the development of novel radiolabeling method, cancer imaging and detection, and nanoparticle based biotechnologies. He has more than 40 published SCI journal papers in leading journals.
