报告介绍 | Interfaces in nanostructures, such as molecule/metal interfaces and edges, are crucial for the performance and reliability of devices. As the size of devices is reduced, nanostructure interfaces become more susceptible to thermal fluctuations. I will discuss our local probe measurements of interface fluctuations and I will show how interfaces at the nanoscale change dynamically due to electron scattering. I will additionally discuss new measurements on graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) where size quantization and electron-electron interactions induce novel magneto-electronic behaviors at graphene-metal interfaces.
