Abstract: In this talk, he will discuss the following two subjects: (i) quantum criticality and unconventional superconductivity in the heavy fermion (HF) systems; and (ii) the superconducting pairing state in materials lacking inversion symmetry. The study of quantum critical phenomena has attracted considerable attention because of the fascinating physical properties caused by quantum fluctuations. In Ce-based HF compounds, superconductivity, likely paired via magnetic interaction, is generally observed in the vicinity of an antiferromagnetic (AFM) quantum critical point (QCP). In this talk, he will review the recent progress on the study of CeCu2Si2, and discuss superconductivity and quantum criticality in CeTIn5 (T=Co,Rh, Ir). Finally, he will present their recent results on two closely related cubic compounds Li2Pd3B and Li2Pt3B.
